This is a fantastic example of historical sheep farming. A wooden sheep dip trough designed for full immersing sheep one at a time.
in fair condition for its age, this was salvaged from a Derbyshire farm last year. It measures 60cm high 129cm long and 79cm wide.
Once lined with bitumen, It has what we think is a drying rack to the underside of the lid. Curious cloven shape to the top, look like a sheep hoof.
