This antique bronze lion door knocker has such super detail with a large mane.
Signifying fortitude, security, dignity and authority, the lion has been used as a patriotic symbol in England for many years. As a result, lots of Lion Head door knockers were produced in the early 19th Century.
Would grace any door. Years of use has given this great patina, up to you wether you keep as is or give a light clean.
Measures 7cm wide and 11.5 cm long. Three fixing points. Good weight to it 336g.
