Wow ! This Burr crossbanded walnut secretaire is a beautiful piece of furniture. 18th century quality with superb detail.
Sliding drawer to the top with five internal drawers with original small brass pull handles. and 8 pigeon holes, makes the ideal desk, which tops three large drawers.
Historically replaced drop handle brass handles. All dovetailed. With original key which locks the top drawer.
Veneered walnut with four opposing pieces to the top.
Some historical good repairs to the veneer with 5 small pieces missing.
Good heavy quality.
Oak lined drawers with move smoothly out. Good clean order, small mark to the top ( looks to be a nail polish bottle ring).
Measures 108.3cm length 55cm width 91cm high.
No fading to the wood, makes a striking piece for any home.
